Here is a little chicken fabric postcard. I got to practice making french knots for the little flower buds and now I’m really good at it. I also used stem stitch and little straight stitches. The back is lined with the fabric that the postcard is resting on. This project was quick and fun – perfect for those moments when I don’t have time to do something big and complex.
Roxy and I stopped at the library today and I checked out some more soft toy patterns books from the seventies. Was there a big soft toy DIY craze in 1977? Sure seems that way. Anyway, lots of new ideas, including a small felt dog and cat pair.
It’s nice and warm out now. I am loving the warm weather. The one thing I don’t like about the Boston area, besides the crazy traffic, is the endless winter. I’m trying to soak up all the sun I can before it hits again.

I love the card!
I have so many of those ’70s books. aren’t they fun? it is such a hoot to see the clothes the people are wearing in some of them.
